Low Water End is about 25 miles from J36 of the M6

Coming from the South on the M6;

• Take 1st exit ie.left, at the roundabout off M6 at Junction 36 for 3.5 miles. (Signposted Kendal & South Lakes).
• Bear left onto A6 Brettargh Holt Roundabout (signposted Barrow) and follow the A590 for approx 15 miles till Greenodd.
• At Greenodd, Turn right onto A5092 signed Whitehaven & Workington.
• About 3 miles further, fork right onto A5084 signposted Coniston.
• A about 3 miles further again, drive through Blawith and Water Yeat villages and the road crosses a cattle grid
• A quarter of a mile later there is a sharp dip in the road. At the very bottom of the dip, there is a gate, set back on the right with LOW WATER END on the gate.
